FAQ
How much retouching do you do?
At my core I am a empowerment photographer, representing bodies in their natural form is incredibly important to me, my business and honestly, the future of empowered humans. That being said I will edit out temporary things like pimples, bruises, scratches. I will not however remove stretch marks, skin texture and scars.
How should I dress for our session?
Comfy is key, the best route is to go with something tried and true, lead with personality, incorporate texture and movement and dress for the season.
Instead of matching yourself, your partner, or your family members to each other, match yourself to the season and setting your session is taking place in.
Think through your clothing choices logically based on location, vibe and comfort level.
Still nervous? Don't be! All my packages come with a clothing and location guide, together we will tell your story, unapologetically and authentically, you.
What’s the best time to have a maternity or newborn session?
I always try to get my maternity clients in between 28 and 32 weeks, that way you are still comfortable enough for either a bit of adventure or multiple outfit changes and haven't quite settled into nesting.
As for newborn sessions, anytime within the first 4 weeks, for clients looking for the dozier, squishy, "furry" baby stage the sooner the better, for those looking for nursing and more alert babes, closer to the 4 week mark.
Do you offer payment plans?
I do and I thoughtfully encourage them. Booking any photography session is investing in your legacy, tangible pieces you will pass on to the ones you love, a legacy that is worth investing in. If you are looking at incorporating a payment plan into your booking please do not hesitate to reach out.
Do you travel?
I do! Within reason, I am in the depths of raising a young family and there-fore my travel is limited. I am located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of BC and will travel within the Sea to Sky Corridor as well as Vancouver Island. Ferry, flight and/or accommodation will be at the cost of the client.
How far ahead should we book you?
Weddings and Elopements should be booked as soon as possible, at a minimum 6 months in advanced to your desired date. All other portrait sessions should be booked at a minimum 4 weeks before your desired session date.
